Previous Post Hypothetical, but suppose Rey had been able to sway Kylo to the Resistance side and they became romantically involved. How would the makeup of the Resistance change? Other than Finn telling Rey and Kylo to kiss his ass? I think Poe would look to Leia and Leia might be more inclined to forgive her son if he seemed remorseful despite his killing Han. Again this is assuming no treachery on Kylo’s part, out of love for Rey and a change of heart, he switches sides.

Next Post Kylo Ren feels more to me like the child of Holocaust survivors (maybe just one survivor, but I think Leia counts, given what happened to Alderaan, and the follow-up with its offworld population) becoming a Nazi. It simply doesn’t ring true or even all that morally acceptable to me. You’d have to somehow completely decouple Kylo from his cultural heritage and have one guy as the entire focus of his genetic one.
