He thought he heard booted feet and shouting down the hall, but as he takes a moment to listen and breathe, he realizes that it was only part of his dream.
Rey’s awake, too, looking rather alarmed; he pats her once on the shoulder, trying to be reassuring, but she just lies there looking at him. He sighs.
“Did something happen or was it a dream?” she asks.
“Just a dream.”
She sighs too, then, and buries her face in his chest. “It’s not that I wish I could block it out. I don’t want you to go through it alone.”
“But I wish Luke had at least taught us to control it so we wouldn’t leak all over each other,” Finn replies ruefully.
Rey affects a comically pompous tone. “Yes, I’d like for you to keep your feelings over on your side of the bed, please.”
He pokes her in the ribs, making her cringe and giggle. He pokes her again, and she smacks his hand away.
“Stop it,” she says. “Go back to sleep.”
“Alright,” he lies, and nuzzles into her hair. There’s no point telling her that sleep won’t return anytime soon – if he’s awake, she will be, too.
Ahhhhh yes, because Rey represents the entire New Republic and Kylo isn’t a mass murdering war criminal who burned down Luke’s school, kills his classmates, killed innocent villagers, murdered his dad, then LITERALLY just got done attacking his mother’s ship and has a history of lying.
Yup. Luke should have let Rey trust the guy who wants to kill anyone who gets in his way. Great plan.
First of all..the first time the Force Skype thing happened, Kylos first move was to try and mind trick Rey.
Second, what compromise can you possibly have with people who slaughter entire villlages and destroy systems of planets? This isn’t deciding who gets to control the music in the car…
