I think people are asking if you ship reylo just so they can know if they can unfollow you or not. and that means shipping it in any form. You have a good blog but if you ship reylo in anyway, even entertain it, i’d like to unfollow. i’ll still check up but i don’t want to follow anyone who ships reylo, at all. that is why people are asking, not because they’re being rude but because they aren’t comfortable following someone who ships reylo in any way, shape or form. canon or not.

I think that one thing is writing a story where an abuse survivor overcomes said situation and grows from it and another completely different is pairing the victim with its abuser. That’s what you did in the AU you wrote while saying at the same time that you would accept that ending for them. So if you’ve always been claiming to be an anti and then you do such thing, it’s completely undersable that people start doubting.

I already said in the ask where I discussed that that post (link) that I now think pretty much the whole premise was OOC and that an older Rey, especially post-TLJ, would not have fallen for BS’s bs and would have walked away. Many mutuals of mine are mutuals of yours. I am saying this not hiding like a child behind anon. You are not an anti-reylo and you really should state exactly where you stand w/r/t reylo so people can make informed decisions as to whether to interact with your blog. I can’t speak for all my mutuals, but I know there are several who would not have touched your blog with a 10 foot pole if they knew you felt as you do with reylo. Shortly after TFA came out, a reylo wrote a finnrey story where Finn is a soldier back from war married to Rey and because of PTSD, he begins abusing her emotionally and physically. She feels she needs to stick by him because of the PTSD even though she has fallen for “Ben” while Finn was at war. The author said she was working through issues of her father who was a soldier with PTSD who returned from Afghanistan and abused her mother. How is this different from your situation?

Are you seriously comparing a fic that depicts Finn as an abuser to a fic that depicts BS as an abuser? What you’re describing is pretty much the situation with the reylow batb abo AU (cursed!) that put Finn in Gaston’s role. For that matter it’s also like their metas and videos that say Poe is Gaston: shifting BS’s violence against Rey onto Finn and Poe for reasons that have nothing to do with canon and everything to do with BS woobification and implicit racism. They had a right to create these works, and others had a right to criticize them.
