I’ve seen you reblogging posts from captainamericagf occasionally and just wanted to give you a heads up that she has a lot of queer phobic content on her blog, she’s reblogged/made a lot of posts about how queer is a slur and how the community can’t reclaim it etc.

Ah crap, that sucks. I’ve unfollowed so many people over this, and while I never followed this blogger I do appreciate her stance on many fandom issues. I’ll stay aware of it and probably not reblog as much from her from now on.

If Kylo Ren dies in IX, should Leia and the heroes have a funeral or a celebration? One one hand, he is Leia’s son. On the other hand, he killed Han, abandoned his family, gave up the name Ben Solo/Organa, and became the leader of the First Order.

I think what Luke did at the end of RotJ is just right–he can be cremated or otherwise given a small private ceremony so his family and those who knew him can mourn the man he once was. It shouldn’t be some big public thing and his ashes should preferably scattered or his grave hidden because his memory does not deserve to be honored and the site of his remains shouldn’t become a place of pilgrimage for those who aspire to follow him.

I was thinking about the whole Rey x Poe thing and I realized that people are shipping them because of the crappy edition of that scene where Rey is being tortured and Poe screams… like why would you ship two characters based on that? But also, why did Poe scream? Is he force sensitive?

I mean it’s actually kind of a cool idea–we know mind probes can create a nonconsensual Force Bond (ew) and Poe feeling Kylo Ren’s mind probe through the Force could work as evidence of Poe’s own Force sensitivity. If people want to build a ship based on it they can be my guest, but it’s stupid to say a fanon thing is the basis of a canon ship.

Do you worry that the lack of interest in Finn in the fandom will lead to a serious lack of Finn content in canon material even after IX? Padme was white, played by an Oscar winning actress, and literally gave birth to 2 of the 3 main characters of the OT and Padme-centric content/merch is still super rare.

I think we’re already seeing that and yeah, it might continue after IX. I’m glad Padmé’s getting novels written about her and hope it doesn’t take 10+ years for Finn to get content of his own.

Like, if Trumpers want an ACTUAL objection to a Little Mermaid remake, the actual story takes place in a country that is predominantly white at the time it is set… except who knows what color people who live in the OCEAN are. I think they’re just salty that Zendaya keeps getting cast in previously (white) redheaded roles like in Spider-Man. I think she’d be an awesome casting choice.

What country would that be, Denmark? I was not aware Prince Eric ruled an actual European country. Also I read that Zendaya actively competes with white actresses for roles, much respect.

Finnrey is a conflict free lovey dovey ship? Let them have a fight in IX. Let them disagree on something and get into an absolute shouting match about it. The way people do when they’ve been in a relationship for a long time. The making up will show the audience beyond a doubt how much they love each other and be a middle finger to the idea that Finnrey is a boring vanilla ship.

Then they’ll call it a toxic ship 😂 There is literally no way to win.

The Knights of Ren welcomed their new leader. This design is less obviously evil, since Kylo still sees himself as the savior of the galaxy.

Finn has been reunited with his family, who have given him Mandalorian light armor and one of Teros’s pairs of powered gloves. Finn and Rey together help unite the Mandalorians and New Republic. Before Finn goes off to face Kylo Ren in the final battle, Luke gives him his lightsaber, saying it’s time someone used it again.

Rey wears purple to honor her mother’s sacrifice, as well as a new jumpsuit from the Jedi Temple on Bespin. She built the lightsaber staff while meditating and mourning for her family. She learned that peace doesn’t come from suppressing emotions, but accepting them. (Moth)
