So, I was thinking about Baldo Ren recently (what is wrong with me??), and if I remember right, you don’t love the idea because the whole purpose of Kylo as a villain is that the entitled, “Good-looking”, white guy is the one most capable of this evil. Making him ugly in some way neuters that. Now, all of that said, it *might* get him back in his mask for episode 9 as he becomes increasingly ashamed of his Dark Side-fueled looks. Thoughts? Personally, I want to see him in the mask again.

I’m the opposite, I want him to continue to go unmasked. Abandoning the mask symbolized his choosing the Dark Side, not abandoning it, and also showed that he’s a different kind of villain than Vader–a visibly human one, not seemingly monstrous and mechanical as Vader was. Kylo was play-acting as Vader in the mask; his unmasked face shows him coming into his own. His is the unsettlingly normal and human face of evil and I think that should continue in IX.

I don’t think that having Rey say those exact words will be the best thing they can do, but instead do a slight change. Rey: “I thought there was good in you and maybe there was, but you choose to turn your back on it and all of your family. Maybe there’s still good in you but it’s far too late, you’ve done too much and gone too far.”

I think that’s a key point, that it DOESN’T MATTER whether Kylo has doubts or has his fee-fees hurt by committing murder or whatever. He gets such a massive amount of credit for his fucking feelings, it’s laughable. It doesn’t matter how bad or conflicted he may feel, his actions are heinous and he has committed crimes he can never fully atone for. It’s his choices that matter, not his regrets or feelings.

“You shouldn’t punch a Nazi unless you’re in immediate physical threat from one or sees someone who is”. WHAT THE HELL DO THESE ASSHOLES THINK JEWISH PEOPLE ARE? Between the Tree of Life shooting last Sabbath, the string of arson in NY not to mention the million and violent one hate crimes against Jews that’s never reported because no one care it should be clear to this asshole that Jews are in immediate physical anger from Nazis simply by living. 1

This is why I don’t trust liberals. This is why I don’t trust
white goyim at all no matter their professed political persuasion.
Because while they may not be willing to to openly participate in the
genocide of my people, they’ll stand by and do nothing while we’re
killed all the while blaming us if we defend ourselves. I’m not going to
a Nazi the benefit of the doubt if they might not shoot me right now,
because I know that they want me dead, so I’ll punch them in self
defense before they can 2

Exactly. Nazism is an immediate physical threat to Jewish people and it’s the height of privilege that white goyim don’t see that.

Broken Earth could make an amazing anime, though I’m not sure I actually want one made because I don’t trust anime creators not to whitewash the hell out of it lmao

So many of the characters, emotions, and plotlines are prime anime fodder. The powerful protagonists, including the adorable and terrifying little girl, being hated by the world for their power and struggling with their own humanity in the face of the monstrosities they witness and commit? The deadly, devoted, literally demonic knightly character who dedicates himself to the little girl, who in turn literally wanted to offer her life to him? (Another reason not to want the anime made; the pedoshippers would be all over Schaffa/Nassun–especially if she’s whitewashed–which, hello, DO NOT WANT that’s her crazy grandpa ffs) Inscrutable immortals with wild and interesting designs who can also have great comic moments, and bond deeply with our main orogene characters? Cosmic schemes and revelations amid existential angst about the human condition and human pain? Visually impressive and mechanically meaty skills going to new levels as the story progresses, with even a convenient number system (the rings) to tell progress? This is the stuff of great anime and it’s a shame that we’re unlikely to see it made, at least not well.
