“And do you mean to tell me he TOLD all this to Rose and she still tased him?” — she tased him before he told her this, having assumed he was attempting to desert as she had already tased and reported three other people before him for trying to desert in the same escape pod (citing the recent death of her sister as why she was very upset)

So it sounds like she went from hero worship to TRAITOR!!! in like a hundredth of a second without considering that a) Finn isn’t even Resistance, and b) he might have valid tactical reasons for leaving.

I’m also really disturbed by the way Rose’s pain keeps being brought up in this situation when Finn was the one who was knocked unconscious. It’s interesting whose pain we’re supposed to empathize with.

And exactly how am I supposed to be excited at the prospect of a romance between them when Rose’s most memorable interactions with Finn seem to consist of violence, whether as a response to grief (the tasing) or love (crashing her vehicle into his)? I find that disturbing as hell, especially when a combination of sexism and racism means that violence against him is so easily brushed off and laughed at.
