He murdered women and children in a fit of rage. War crime.

He murdered his wife in a fit of jealous rage. Domestic abuse.

He murdered the children of his adoptive family, the Jedi Order, because someone told him too. War crime.

He tried to murder his best friend in a jealous, berserk rage. Attempted murder.

He stayed with a genocidal, slave-holding, oppressive government ‘cause he was too chicken to kill Palpatine himself. Accessory to multiple crimes. Conspiracy to commit same. Actual commission of same.

Yeah, Vader started out with good intentions. Yeah, his motivations are at least arguably more sympathetic than Kylo’s. But make no mistake: Anakin and Kylo made the exact same call, and committed the exact same crimes. And both are defined by their extreme, unreasonable, and immoral reaction to events.

Because that’s what makes them fucking villains.

I 100% agree with you. Thats why im not taking away from the fact that anakin WAS in fact a villain and im not going to contradict anyhing you said above because you are 100% correct. My whole point is that underneath all that fucked up shit anakin did there was a noble motivation to save his wife and thats why he let himself be consumed by the darkside which ironically is what kills his wife. When you compare that to “my mom and dad have careers and dont pay attention to me” you should want to slap him for even daring to compare himself to anakin.

Im not saying anakin is a hero. Anakin is a villain but hes a WELL WRITTEN villain and i LOVE HIS VILLAIN ASS FOR THAT compared to kylos petulent childish motivations(if kylos motivations are really what adam driver says they are). Im not saying anakin is good in anyway shape or form, hes bad but at least his reasons make me “damn poor anakin”.

phew, these R*ylos laughed mercilessly at us when we said Darth Vader and Anakin were two different people but now i just saw they applied same equations to conclude K*lo and Ben are two different people, and K*ylo will die for Ben Solo to be reborn cause they both are two different people!! When it’s K*lo redemption any theory is brilliant!! But sure bash Vader to make K*lo look more innocent! Idiots, their crimes are same! Wonder when they’ll arrive at that conclusion? nah..

I don’t like that logic whether it’s applied to Vader or Kylo
because it’s just the tired old stereotype of multiples (many of whom
have dissociative identity disorder) being dangerous people with evil
personas they can’t control. There’s no evidence whatsoever that either
Vader or Kylo are actually different people from Anakin and Ben.
Separating them is a figure of speech at best, one that conveniently
absolves the former identities of responsibility at the expense of
blaming their evil on mental illness. It’s terrible when applied to
Anakin and terrible when applied to Ben. They both chose to do evil, and
whatever names they took on in the process are just window dressing.

Darth Vader’s real successor in the sequel trilogy is Phasma, not Kek lol Redpill. She’s the one who has Vader’s intimidation factor, his mystery, his ruthlessness, and just all around coolness.

Strangled a rebel, killed 3 of his own officers, blew up a planet, killed obi wan kenobi, personally shot down 2 squadrons of rebel fighters, led the invasion of hoth, trapped han solo in carbonite, cut off lukes hand, threw the emperor down the reactor shaft
