One thing the reyl0s aren’t wrong about is a love triangle between Rey, Finn and Rose in 9 would be stupid. How do you want JJ to handle the Finn/Rose kiss? Personally I’m hoping he just ignores it. It was one of THE most awkward and one sided kisses I think i’ve ever seen on screen, best to pretend it never even happened imho and leave it to the books or comics that will fill in the time gap to deal with it.

I’d prefer IX ignore it, too. Finn and Rose can be good friends who, if you squint, can be read as amicable exes. I didn’t even get the sense Rose was all that into Finn, even less the other way around–the kiss came across more as a “we’re about to die, might as well grab the nearest person” move. (Not that this makes it okay, obviously, and it’s particularly an ass move toward someone who has never had a say over his own body until like a week ago. Rose treating Finn as a vent for her emotional needs is a recurring pattern and is one of the reasons I can’t get behind Finnrose.) As I have stated before, my shipping aesthetic for IX is either already-established Finnrey relationship (link) or Rey having a hard time forgiving Finn for trying to sacrifice himself (link).

I can’t believe I never thought to put a wildfire in my WIP when literally all my characters are dragons that live near enormous forests

The flying fire hazards! On the flip side, periodically burning underbrush and strategically setting contained fires to deprive the main conflagration of fuel are valid firefighting tools, too. These could be interesting ways for dragons to fight fire with fire, or to use forest fires as proxy wars with grounded populations caught in the middle.

Your post that Crazy Rich Asians erased the non-Chinese (Malaysian and other SE Asian) population of Singapore isn’t really correct. 1. Malaysian is a citizenship. Do you mean Malay, the race? 2. Henry Golding is Iban and Pierre Png is Peranakan. Both actors are mixed Malay and Chinese. They might look Chinese to foreigners but they look clearly mixed blood to locals, Henry Golding especially.

I mean Malays and Malaysians, should have been clearer about that. The Singapore Census itself didn’t make the distinction (link). On the second point, buddy I ain’t even seen the movie but was mentioning critical reviews I’d glanced at, see Sangeetha Thanapal’s critique for an example (link). But if the most representation of Malaysian residents/Malay Singaporeans you can point to is two mixed actors, then it doesn’t sound like the representation on that front is all that good.

Isn’t xilizhra that person who implied Fandoms hate People of Color was sexist because they said they don’t trust in white women? That person probably is a racist troll

Then they can include me in that designation because don’t trust white women either. I’m friends and colleagues with individual white women, but by default my defenses are up when it comes to them as a group. The majority of them will choose white supremacy and white privilege over solidarity with women of color, as they have proven election after election.
