So far today I have seen two (2) Finn/Rey AU posts: a Pirates of the Caribbean one and a Beauty and the Beast one. Both of them cast Rey in the same role as the woman in the other canon, and cast Finn in the same role as the man in the other canon, which I suppose is reasonable enough. BUT IMAGINE:
-POTC AU where Rey is a blacksmith and Finn is the son of the governor. Rey has been in love with Finn for years, and he likes her back, but they both know there’s too much difference in their stations for their relationship to ever go anywhere. Finn gets kidnapped from the governor’s mansion during a First Order invasion, and Rey resolves to go after him but has to ally herself with disgraced pilot pirate Poe Dameron. Poe has his own agenda (trying to regain his position as leader of the Black Pearl Squadron) and Rey’s not sure if she can trust him. As if that’s not enough, Finn soon discovers there’s something unnatural about the crew holding him captive.
-Beauty and the Beast AU where Rey is the terrifying beast who lives far away from civilization; and Finn is the handsomest man in town, who runs away from home after an unwanted offer of marriage (don’t ask me who Gaston is in this AU, I don’t care) and finds himself in a run-down castle inhabited by a monster who may be more than she seems.
Here’s Finn as a very tired painting student because I too am a very tired painting student. He got paint on his nose but didn’t notice and nobody told him (rude).
I don’t think this really fits any of the Finn Appreciation Week themes but I wanted to submit it anyway bc it’s a drawing of Finn whom I appreciate 🙂 It’s also sort of a sequel to this from like a year ago
The incredible @rootbeergoddess wrote for me on commission From Business to Love, a great story about Finn and Rey as business rivals who fall for each other. It was only fitting that I commission some art to go along with the story for the Finnrey Fridays Work theme, and the result is this beautiful piece from the one and only @hippano.
