Some people deal with awfulness by ignoring it, and that’s perfectly valid. Others deal with it by arguing with it head-on, and so putting it to rest in their own minds rather than have it rattle around. You can unfollow/block/filter as appropriate if you don’t like the way I conduct myself on my own blog, instead of wasting time preaching at me like a sanctimonious piece of shit.

I’ve written the first draft of my meta about Rey’s arc in the context of SW history, and it’s 3.5K words long. I always felt bad about not writing much about her on her own apart from Finn, but thanks to @jewishcomeradebot I think I’ve finally got a handle on her character and enough understanding to analyze her. Finn is still an important part ofthe story because duh, but it’s primarily about Rey and I like that.

I’m a minor who read the post you contributed to involving petalmist10, and while I agree with you that minors should not be exposed to rapefic and that rape is wrong, I also would like you to know that I felt uncomfortable with the phrase (go d–pth—t) that you directed toward that user. I know that almost everyone curses on the internet, but please don’t use sexual language like the f-word where minors can be exposed, especially when referencing a minor-friendly franchise like Star Wars.

If you think that phrase is about actual sex then I am seriously concerned about what you consider sexual. Do you also refer to the movie about Watergate as D__p Th___t (1972)?

I keep my age in my header precisely so that minors can know to stay
away if they are not comfortable with interacting with adults or with swearing and sexual content. You really shouldn’t be following me if you’re uncomfortable with swear words and the occasional erotica in relation to Star Wars.

I have never said and disagree that swear words and adult content are necessarily out of line for franchises that have child as well as adult fan bases. Adults can have their fun as well as kids. Everything should, however, be properly tagged so that children would not be exposed to adult content, so people can stay away from content they are uncomfortable with, and so tags are not cluttered up with irrelevant content.

The entire thread on my end is
tagged with #rape mention so that minors and those who are triggered by references to rape can filter it. I will also add a #nsfw tag to my additions just in case. But like I said, my blog probably isn’t for you in the first place.
