Since we’re starting to come up to where we will start getting a lot of news as well as bogus leaks and misinformation about episode IX, I’m planning on keeping an ongoing list that I’ll periodically update of just literal facts about the movie that we know to help me mentally keep the legitimate news separated from possible bogus news.  So this would include info. that’s been confirmed by multiple reliable sources and/or the cast themselves. No opinions, speculation or rumor just things that’s known about the movie for sure. I also probably won’t list just basic things that is pretty much common knowledge in the fandom, such as John Boyega will be in the movie or JJ is directing it since that kind of info. could get out of control pretty fast. And I’ll probably just stick to information that may be pertinent to the plot and characters. If anyone wants to make corrections or add to it please let me know and feel free to tag and/or send me something when news comes up.

John Boyega is growing his hair out for IX

Billy Dee Williams will return to reprise his role as Lando Calrissian

The last reported working title for the movie is trIXie

There are casting calls for at least two new named characters-one an “ethnically diverse” woman between the ages of 18-26 called “Caro” whose is said to have a “captivating naturalness” and “is a leader and problem solver” with a “sense of humor and strong will”. The other is a 40-50 year old woman called “Mara”

Keri Russell is “in talks” to be part of the cast
