Oh my God I remember backing away slowly from this blog because they say they’re a Rey Solo theorist on a blog filled with Reylo porn and it’s all just really, really weird. IIRC just about all the Reylo content should be tagged #nsfw too because a lot of it features nudity and explicit sex. It has a feel of a phishing account designed to hit people with very in-your-face Reylo content in a space that people expect would be free from it.
Not every villain, not every time, and certainly not to everyone at once, but there should be moments. We should, occasionally, be able to see ourselves in the bad guys, be able to understand how they got there.
Because it reminds us not to fucking go there.
Antis who get upset about villains having relatable qualities (often couched as being “romanticized” or “woobified”) are people who cannot bear to ever think of themselves as having the capability of being wrong.

OP is confusing the terms relatable and understandable. Relatable means establishing a SYMPATHETIC connection to the character and frankly I don’t think anyone wants that to mass murderers and committers of genocide.
It doesn’t seem like that to me! I think that “relatable” is meant to imply sharing certain recognizable traits with the villain, obvs not the murder if you’re meant to learn from this, jesus, but having these characteristics be able to let you see that this is a person that went wrong in a way that could be possible for you, rather than just a monster that there’s no way of becoming with bad choices and reactions. Understanding that you need to work to not be a bad person is important,, and instilled through relating to bad people’s flaws or nature while not becoming one.

Firstly, all I ever said against Kataang comes from a place of deep, all-encompassing love for Aang. Partially because there are already enough people who discussed it from Katara’s side of things, but mostly because Aang deserved so much better than what happened to him in canon.
Secondly, I’m sorry you found my comment hurtful, it was never, nor will it ever be my intention to cause anyone pain, but please try to understand it from my point of view:
Kataang shippers go around lifting their OTP on a pedestal, calling it cute, and wholesome, and healthy, and how they’re perfect for each other, because Aang is so Good™ and Pure™ and Morally Infallible™ and he’d counter Katara’s Inner Darkness™ or whatever, and then turn around and say things like: “Die Zutara c*unt/r*tard, Kataang is canon!” and “I’ll find you and rape you Zutara bitch” and “I want to watch you getting chocked to death and rape your corpse Zutara slut”, which are all actual anons I or other Zutara shippers received, and see nothing wrong with this.
This is a to me incomprehensible lack of self-awareness and I will therefore stand by my comment.
