like the situations are completely different like leia is literally rescuing han and actual loves and cares about han’s well being while kylo is literally the reason why rey is there and is torturing her at the very moment and doesn’t give a damn about rey beyond what she can give him which he would take with or without her consent

also the whole reason why leia and kylo are taking off their helmets are completely different like leia took it off so han could know it’s her while kylo took it off to manipulate rey so he could get he wants from her

I’m just tired of Kylostans derailing every popular Finnrey thread, okay? Some things are not about your shitty fave and being nice to Kilo is not a litmus test for Finn’s morality.

Again, ANTI Kylos derailed that thread. It had shit all to do with Reylo or Kylo Ren until they rubbed their paws all over it. For people who supposedly hate Kylo, you lot really are obsessed with him.

And again, you’re really a fan of putting words in my mouth. It’s unfair and it makes you look like an arsehole.

So, if you recognized it as a derail… you decided to FURTHER the derail by making it MORE about Kylo, adding the ugly insinuation that Finn would be pro-abuse and pro-brainwashing unless he empathizes with Kylo. Those are words you yourself put in your mouth, steaming fresh from your arsehole.

I mean…it makes sense that someone who went through abuse would empathize with someone else who went through abuse, if only for that reason? 

And yeah, if you think abuse is justified because you don’t like the victim, that’s hardly being anti-abuse.

Do you think that Finn wouldn’t be at least slightly sympathetic if he knew what was actually happening to Kylo Ren, and what had happened to him in the past? You think Finn wouldn’t be against brainwashing and abuse, regardless of the target?

A friendly reminder that in A New Hope, Han Solo left the rebellion before the Death Star attack because he didn’t want to get involved in the cause. But he came back eventually.

Finn wanted to leave the rebellion at first, too, before he decided to stay and fight for them.

And yet I never see Han being demonized for his “desertion” the way Finn is. I wonder why that is…

Also, Han Solo is a grown man at about 30 years of age who has his own life and has his freedom (though he has troubles with a certain crime boss) who leaves because he thinks the Rebellion is suicidal.

Finn is a 23 year old abuse survivor who’s been subjected to systematic abuse his whole life and who literally only escaped his abuser days ago at the start of TLJ. Despite enormous emotional trauma he still assist the Resistance but ultimately wants to leave them because he wants to be safe, even though he does support them.

But yes, it’s Finn who’s the most selfish asshole there. /s

And Han was never violently assaulted or verbally torn down for his decision the way Finn was, but fandom trips over itself trying to justify it for Finn. Hmmm. 🤔
