So it WAS meant to be very clear that Rey has feelings for Finn. I mean I thought it was, but to the doubters, I don’t think he’d be saying all that if it wasn’t.

Well obviously it’s because Finnlo is endgame. Nah, he didn’t debunk a thing. In both interviews he was consistent in saying the character is not currently prepared for a romance and needs to figure himself out first. That’s the point of stories, character growth especially for the protagonists.
A few days ago, Reylos were coming up with long, convoluted explanations about how “romance” and “romantic drama” aren’t the same thing so Reylo can still happen even if it’s not in the second movie.
But the moment John Boyega says Finn shouldn’t have a romance “for now”, Reylos assume he won’t get one at all.

Nevertheless, two people on a mission together to a sorta shady planet, arguing and eventually kissing, sounds pretty plot-central to me.

I don’t understand how it’s “”“obvious”“” when we’ve seen maybe a full second or two of Rose between the official trailers and TV spots– and she wasn’t even in the scene with Finn.
