Black Panther SPOILERS below the cut on the climactic battle scene:

My God, anon, that is the perfect solution! It would have made the whole sequence so much more meaningful and suspenseful, too. And think of the toll on Shuri, she would have been like “Mom, get out!!” and wanting to go back to get her when Ramonda would not leave. Ramonda could have let her know in no uncertain terms that Shuri is to hold her position and that Wakanda is bigger than any one person, bigger than family. And, of course, she would kick everyone’s ass easily before getting out of there cool as you please.

Bonus points if she flips off the plane attacking the lab as she leaves, in a callback to Shuri from early in the movie. Maybe she even saves something particularly meaningful/useful from the lab on the way, because she’s that thoughtful kind of mom.

Finn would that dad that wears the Moby Wrap or a baby carrier with pride. Keeping his baby close to make lest anxious that his baby will be taken away . Even though he know the Galaxy is safe now . He still has the fear that his child will taken away from Rey and him . Never will get to know his family

Rey loves the bounding experience she feels when she breastfeed her baby . Make her forget the loneliness she hade as a kid . She hopes her child will never have go throw the same loneliness as she went threw .

Finn and Rey just want make sure their child feels safe , feels loved and has a great childhood unlike the ones they hade .

there’s no way finn isn’t torn apart inside every time he or anyone else has to kill a stormtrooper—someone who he may know, another child soldier kidnapped and brainwashed by a war machine. and if we don’t get finn leading a stormtrooper rebellion or even an *acknowledgement* of his reality and how fucking tragic it is then i’m!!!!!!

Yes! I mean if rian wanted his freaking moral ambiguity, then Finn dealing with himself and the resistance killing stormtroopers (you know the people who were once his comrades, who were also child slaves that perhaps have a chance of breaking free of the brainwashing like he did) would’ve been his prime opportunity.

Both JJ and RJ dropped the ball on this massively. JJ you get one (1) more chance, don’t screw it up!!

I bet Finn is really good at taking compliments about his technical skill but as soon as someone hits him with a “you’re a good person” or a “you’re a kind-hearted man” he melts internally he can’t handle it! Because he’s used to compliments on skills he can hone, but compliments on his person are new and he’s not always sure what sparks such a compliment and it feels different from compliments on his skill. It feels better. It bubbles in his chest and he just! doesn’t! know! what to do with all that!

He’s never been complimented on his personality, only criticized for it. All his life being a good and empathetic person was a liability, not an asset. It is understandably an adjustment to make.

“You’re a good man, Finn.”

Imagine how strange that felt to him. The same traits that made him weak in the eyes of Phasma and the First Order, the thing that he was always told was holding him back and that he had to suppress, now had this gorgeous and amazing guy looking at him with stars in his eyes. Is it any wonder he changed the subject immediately without even acknowledging the compliment, because he didn’t know how to handle it (yet)?

okay so me and @heroicfinn were talking and one thing led to another. the long battle is over and life’s good, poe and finn have a baby (shara!) but the resistance is still making rescue and provision missions to planets that got caught in the middle of it. when poe’s on duty, he keeps a lot of holos of his family in his cockpit. sometimes, he gets bb8 to set up a space skype. finn practices self love and chills the fuck out with his daughter, distancing himself from the tragedies of war.

ooooo what if finn had white lightsabers like ahsoka 👀 maybe once he gets the hang of fighting with a saber, he graduates from his blaster/saber combo and carries two white lightsabers with him!!

Weren’t Ahsoka’s white lightsabers from purifying Dark Force-tainted crystals? If Finn does that…. THE SYMBOLISM.

@lj-writes One of the Knights of Ren appears to have a lightsaber, maybe Finn could retrieve a lightsaber from one of them in IX? (That is if they appear in IX) Just a thought.

Omg that would be AWESOME

Y’all can’t tell me Kes didn’t rejoin the Resistance. He left the Rebellion with Shara to have a family and you bet your ass he’d get back in the fray to fight for his son and future generations to be able to do the same.

Like imagining him saying goodbye to Shara’s grave, promising to fight for their son and for a future Poe might build.

“I promise I’ll be back.” He strokes the gravestone. “No matter what. If not in body, I’ll still be here.”

Touching his forehead to the sunwarmed stone he whispers, “It’ll only be a little while. I promise, Shara.”
