Finn realizing droid numbers remind him of stormtrooper numbers and giving them nicknames and BB-8 makes a happy beep every time Finn calls him Fixer but R2-D2 is grumbling because ‘Blue’ is a lazy stupid nickname and what’s wrong with Artoo, the name he’s answered to for longer than Finn’s been alive, pray tell? Besides, he wanted to be Fixer.

Awwww “Blue” is pretty, though! I’d have gone with Han and called BeeBee “Ball.”

this is the cutest headcanon!

What would Finn’s nickname for 3-PO be? I’m thinking Goldenrod, after Chewie tells Finn about how Han used to call 3-PO that.

Here is the revised Teros. Same stuff applies. Powered-up gloves for combat and utility. Collar based on Mandalore the Vindicated. Mythosaur skull on his breastplate (a wedding gift from Boba). Also, a utility belt. Most often the muscular guys in action movies aren’t the gadget experts, so that goes against that. P.S., I don’t have a last name for him, but if he were from Clan Kryze like Satine and Bo-Katan, his name would be unbearably close to Terry Crews. (Moth)

Another scene, this time of Ben fighting Finn to rescue Poe. I’m thinking this could lend some non-verbal storytelling about the hidden darkness of Ben and hidden morality in Finn. During the fight, Ben can be all-encompassingly focused on winning. Throughout the duel, one of the cannons on the slugslayer is activated by Ben, perhaps towards a planet or another ship. Finn drops everything to turn it off. This works as the distraction Ben needs to save Poe, and Finn gets a moment to try to minimize collateral damage. (Moth)

Sorry, but I’m just gonna run off with this for a moment if that’s okay?

Because the visual… not parallel, but maybe echo between the top gif and the lower gif just hit me.

One a Kylo without his mask, the other a pre-suit Vader. Both are shots almost directly downwards and both are leading a group of troops.

This is Vader just after he accepted Sideous’ offer of power and fully turned himself to the Dark Side. We don’t know anything about Kylo in the shot except that it’s clearly after he wrecks his helmet – you can see his face very briefly in the shot – but you’re not going to tell me that the choice of angle and the way this shot is set up isn’t intentional.

I think that just like Vader is on his way to cement his alliance with Sideous killing the Jedi and destroying their temple, we’re seeing Kylo on his way to do something similar.
