Is the queer-coding in Joint Security Area intentional because I’m liking this movie but I’m not sure if it’s for the intended reason
In class discussion today one of my classmates described it as “like Romeo and Juliet but with friends” and I’m dying. “Like this famous romance but yknow not romantic or anything because they’re all guys”

I’m curious, who was queer coded in JSA? I didn’t notice at the time, but it was a while ago and things may have slipped my notice.
yeah the queer-coding is intentional. the director wanted it to be more explicit (so that even staight people cannot argue) but the production company didn’t allow him to.
Damn, I gotta see this movie again!!
