the post-credits scene of infinity war 2 is gonna be thor going to a tattoo parlor to get that tattoo to commemorate loki he was supposed to get in ragnarök but when it’s done it says ‘loki is the best’ instead of ‘loki was the best’ (in like.. really shitty handwriting) and thor’s like “you’ve made a mistake my good sir” and the tattoo artist’s like “or did i?” and he transforms back into loki and thor’s just
look, i don’t know how many times i have to say this but he’s not loki, he doesn’t have a silver-tongue, but they’re like writing these epic poems in his honor and i’m like ???????
not to sound like a former loki stan, which i am, but kyle’s villainous presentation is so utterly lackluster
when he talks, he just sounds like adam driver, and adam driver’s voice is not distinct, adam driver just sounds like some guy they found
AND none of kylo’s lines are particularly striking so like how has he amassed this following? what has he done? kylo could NEVER come up with “it’s the unspoken truth of humanity that you crave subjugation. the bright lure of freedom diminishes your life’s joy in a mad scramble for power” can that backwards ass square titty hoe even SPELL subjugation???
So Lindsay Ellis brought back her twitter account which means I can now screencap this masterpiece again.
(and yes, the comments immediately below this were two women explaining how their fashie sadboy is the real victim so…proving her point?)
the Loki crowd literally did the same thing the Kylo Ren crowd did during Thor 1/Avengers, like……the fans may have changed over the years but the Loki crowd ABSOLUTELY started the same way as the Kylo Ren crowd
Oh yeah, some of the commenters on the thread noted that the current Kylo Ren crowd is what the Loki crowd used to be like, but the Loki crowd has mostly grown out of it – which I think is true. It gives me hope that the Kylo Ren crowd will eventually get over it and embrace him as a villain rather than trying to justify every evil thing he did.
I remember reading an interesting post about how most of the Loki fandom jumped ship to Bucky after The Winter Soldier came out. Long story short: Bucky was what most of the Loki crowd wanted Loki to be: A handsome, brooding, tortured villain who wasn’t really responsible for his actions due to brainwashing.
The post went on to say how Star Wars: The Force Awakens gave us both a Loki and a Bucky in the form of Kylo Ren and Finn, respectively, yet only Kylo has gotten the kind of fandom they got. Hmm, I wonder why?
Making a mad libs form for Loki, Kylo Ren, and Grant Ward defense posts.
They all tend to read EXACTLY the same. So why not have some fun with that. 😛
[Villain] suffered extreme trauma due to [Childhood Speculation Unsupported by Canon], and in the end [Hero they have personally harmed] will be shown to be the truly evil one and [Villain] will live happily ever after with [Major Female Character/Favorite Slash Pairing].
Antis constantly ignore that [Villain] TOTALLY suffers from [speculation of abuse or mental illness based on offensive stereotyping]! Antis hate actual suffers of [speculated abuse or mental illness]!
[Villain] was justified in his actions toward [hero they have personally harmed] and [many innocent people] because of [inaccurate understanding of the definitions of “legal”, “governmental sanction”, “war” and/or “espionage”].
[Hero they have personally harmed] can’t possibly feel [emotional reaction based on Villain’s direct actions against them or others] because they are at least somewhat at fault for not understanding [Villain]’s terrible position!
I found my old madlibs post. Here’s an addition:
It’s hypocritical for someone to dislike [Villain] more than [another character who is a victim of explicit mind control, was enslaved at the time, or is an actual child.]
