But I’d love it if the ST ended with Finn being a Senator and one of the most powerful politicians in the entire galaxy. Trusted and wise. And he is married to Rey Skywalker, a Jedi. And they are an iconic couple that combine their individual strengths to bring peace to the galaxy. It would be the perfect full circle end, Anakin Skywalker’s heir gets to be a Jedi but is openly and happily married to a senator, and the senate and the Jedi have an equal, trusted relationship. And the idea that a former Stormtrooper ends up being this brilliant politician who brings a true democracy foward in the galaxy after everything that happened… And somewhere Anakin’s Force ghost says goodbye and joins Padmé in the Netherworld, because his job is done.
Thiiiiiis. I’ve always said Finn and Rey parallel Padme and Anakin, and that Finnrey will be Anidala redeemed.

Those all sound great! It always seemed to me Anidala gifs were overrepresented in the prequel fanwork, without nearly enough of the other characters–especially CoC. I’ll see what I can do.
Also like forreal i did not even realize Barriss was a prequel trilogy character. I thought she was original to TCW my god.
Oh, and by Anidala gifs being overrepresented I meant a really specific aesthetic–sitting in a flower field, overlooking a lake etc.–instead of their meatier scenes like kissing before Geonosis (let’s just… ignore the bland lines beforehand, the actors did a lot better without Lucas’s meddling), Padme finding out about Anakin’s mass murder and so on. Definitely interested in getting those scenes into edits, too!
