The alt-right is scary. I once engaged someone making antisemetic comments on a conservative page (at one point he even said something to the effect of the Holocaust being a good idea) and when I confronted him he said he was Jewish and his ancestors were Jewish so basically he knew better than anyone that Jews were scum and the world would be better off without them and I was like YIKES
So either seriously self-hating Jewish person or a faker? Either way, holy shit.
I believe gender is inherently dichotomic and, more importantly, spiritual. That gender is innate in the soul and that male and female humans are divinely created to complement and balance each other.
You are free to have your binaristic and heteronormative beliefs, but I don’t share them.
The Bible says God created man in His own image. How can a formless entity do such a thing? It has no image, much less one resembling man’s. If we looked like that God we wouldn’t even have bodies. God must have a form that resembles man in order to create beings that look like Him.
Exactly what the image of God means is literally a millennia-old debate and it’s not as simplistic as God having a physical form. Whatever it means it’s also not exclusively male, since the Bible itself states that he created humans male and female.
God does not have a physical form, God is not human, therefore it’s real bold of us to assume that God has a human concept of gender
If God exits I’m sure they’re aware of our concept of gender and laughs at it.

Technically, “God is a woman” is grammatically incorrect. “Goddess” would make more sense.

The English word god comes originally from the Proto-Germanic word ǥuđán which doesn’t appear to have been gendered at all. The theory is that it is derived from the Indo-European words for ‘to libate’, ‘to invoke’ and ‘to sacrifice to’.
A later derivation, before it entered the English language, is the Old Norse guð which is also gender neutral. As is basically every single other incarnation of that word.
Anyway, the word god does not have a gender, never had, and saying god is a woman is as grammatically correct (or wrong if you will) as saying that god is a man.
People talks a lot of a Ghost Luke/Rey or Ghost Luke/Kylo scene but what if he met Finn? I really want a scene of Mark and John together (Finn looked so excited in hear about Luke Skywalker in TFA)
