Oh, how did BB-8 ruin your hopes for a stormtrooper uprising?

When the Walker fired on the Stormtroopers, it looked for all hell like Stormtroopers had done it, right? Except the cover was blown off, literally, and it was revealed to be BB. Yet another “SIKE! You dumbasses you really bought that lmao” moment from RJ. He deleted the mini-uprising scene with Finn putting doubts in the Stormtroopers’ minds and Phasma shooting them dead, too, in the process making a lazy continuity error where Phasma and her crew teleport to the other side of the hangar for no reason. Finn realizing droid numbers remind him of stormtrooper numbers and giving them nicknames and BB-8 makes a happy beep every time Finn calls him Fixer but R2-D2 is grumbling because ‘Blue’ is a lazy stupid nickname and what’s wrong with Artoo, the name he’s answered to for longer than Finn’s been alive, pray tell? Besides, he wanted to be Fixer.

Awwww “Blue” is pretty, though! I’d have gone with Han and called BeeBee “Ball.”

Just out of curiosity, in regards to the post about Leia and compassion… how are you defining “compassion?” Just so I know exactly what you’re saying.

You mean this one about Leia and not forgiving Vader (link)? The dictionary definition of compassion, basically: Sympathetic consciousness of others’ suffering together with a desire to alleviate it (link). Leia’s life has been defined by compassion, and her not forgiving Vader is an expression of her compassion for those who suffered at his hands, including her parents and entire planet. She also can’t forgive Vader on behalf of those who died and suffered. Luke couldn’t validly do that, either, he could only forgive the suffering Vader directly caused him such as cutting off his hand.
